Tonbo Imaging India Limited reported a consolidated net profit of about Rs 23.5 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, reversing a net loss of about Rs 9.6 crore in the year-ago quarter, according to Inc42 and market summaries of the company's Q2 FY27 filing dated 5 November 2026. Inc42 put operating revenue at Rs 183.3 crore, up from Rs 8.9 crore a year earlier, and said sequential revenue rose from about Rs 36 crore in Q1 FY27 as the company returned to profit from a Rs 17.7 crore net loss.

Tonbo builds thermal imaging systems, weapon sights, handheld binoculars, fire-control systems and missile seekers for defence surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting. Whalesbook and Sahi Markets, reading the same results release, noted that this is the company's first quarterly declaration after listing on the BSE and NSE on 23 October 2026 following an IPO of about Rs 852 crore. Expenses rose sharply with revenue, Inc42 said, yet profit before tax still reached about Rs 31.4 crore against a year-ago pre-tax loss.

For India's deeptech desk, the print matters less as a one-off percentage jump and more as proof that a domestic electro-optics supplier can book large defence and export-linked revenue after listing. Independent confirmation rests on Inc42's read of the results and parallel market coverage of the exchange-bound numbers. Order books and margin sustainability will show in later quarters, including the earnings call the company flagged around these results.
