# bharat.digital: Digital India News: UPI, Startups, Funding

> Digital India news today: UPI and payments, startup funding, tech policy, AI and cyber security, from leading newsrooms and official sources, with charts of official data. Also: a startup tracker and funding tracker, official UPI and Aadhaar numbers, explainers, and original reporting by the bharat.digital desk.

Last updated: 2 November 2026, 06:30 IST. This file is regenerated on every build of the site, so it always lists the pages that exist now.

bharat.digital publishes one edition per calendar day (India Standard Time) covering payments, policy, startups and fintech, AI and tech, and security. The site is rebuilt every two hours: publisher feeds, CERT-In advisories, the CISA KEV catalog and the startup tracker are refreshed on each run. Every HTML page has a Markdown twin at the same path plus index.md (Originals also at /originals/<slug>.md), and pages can be requested with "Accept: text/markdown".

Editorial notes:

- News headlines and summaries are quoted from each publisher's feed or official page and link to the original (original_url in the Markdown and JSON versions); please cite that publisher.
- Originals (startup write-ups, features and analysis) are written by the bharat.digital desk only from at least two independent sources that are not posts on X, all listed at the end of each piece. Figures are as those sources report them; nothing is invented.
- The funding tracker lists every outlet that reported a round and the amount each gave. When amounts differ the row says so; dollars and rupees are never converted.
- Numbers and charts use only published official data (NPCI, UIDAI) with the source and as of date; monthly figures are labelled monthly.
- The front page box and the morning brief rank events by how many independent outlets report them. There are no view counts or popularity figures.
- Items whose source reads "X News (AI summary of posts on X)" are AI generated summaries of public posts on X, not reporting.
- Hindi pages are translations of the sourced English lines and are labelled as translations.
