About
Digital India news today: UPI and payments, startup funding, tech policy, AI and cyber security, from leading newsrooms and official sources, with charts of official data.
bharat.digital follows India's digital economy: payments, digital public infrastructure, technology policy, startups and fintech, AI and semiconductors, and cyber security. One page is published per day and refreshed every two hours. New stories are added to the day's edition and marked as new; stories already shown on earlier days are not repeated.

Headlines and summaries are quoted from each publisher's RSS feed or from official pages. We do not rewrite those stories. Every story names its source and links to the original. Stories are chosen by topic filters, so the site only carries items about India's digital economy and security.
Originals are startup write-ups, features and analysis written by the bharat.digital desk from published reporting and official documents; each lists its sources at the end, and figures are as those sources report them. The startups tracker lists funding rounds, launches and acquisitions at new Indian digital startups, extracted from startup news headlines and Inc42's weekly funding tables, each linked to its source.
The security desk lists CERT-In advisories as published on cert-in.org.in, the latest additions to the US CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and India related reporting from security outlets.
The numbers page shows only official figures, each with its source and date. Nothing is estimated. The explainers are short guides written for this site and cite official sources.
How the front page works. Today in 60 seconds shows the five biggest stories right now, the same for every reader, ranked by how many different outlets report them. Stories from several outlets about the same event are one card that says how many outlets reported it and links each report. The morning brief at /brief/ freezes those five lines at 07:30 IST each day, as a page and as plain text ready to share. Headlines are quoted as published; ones that hold back the news to get a click are never picked for the box, the brief or a lead slot.
Funding tracker. The funding tracker lists every round we have seen with each report and the amount it gave, and flags rounds where outlets disagree. Latest numbers on the front page shows NPCI's monthly UPI figures, labelled monthly with their publication date, and our own weekly count of reported rounds, with sums kept separate for dollars and rupees. Charts are drawn only from published figures and can be embedded with a credit line. Every startup has a profile page and an RSS feed, and so does every tracker category.
Your choices stay on your device. The "new since your last visit" marks and the topics you ask to see less of are kept in your browser's local storage. These choices are not sent to us, and there is no account and no tracking cookie.
Analytics. We count visits with Umami, an analytics tool we host on our own server. It sets no cookies, does not follow you to other sites, does not store your IP address and does not count you at all if your browser sends Do Not Track. It records the page viewed, the site that sent you, browser, device type and country, and clicks on share buttons, links to other sites and downloads. Visit counts are never shown on this site.
