Bijnis returns as Zorit with Rs 27 Cr to restock neighbourhood shops in 60 minutes
Three years after Info Edge wrote off its stake, the B2B retail platform has rebranded, raised a round led by Sparrow Capital and says half its dark stores now break even.

Zorit, the Delhi B2B commerce startup formerly called Bijnis, has raised about Rs 27 crore, or $2.84 million, in a round led by Sparrow Capital, Entrackr and Inc42 reported. Existing investors Info Edge and WaterBridge joined, along with Better Capital, employees and angel investors including Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal, the founders of Shiprocket, Xpressbees CEO Mohit Sardana and Sarthak Misra of SoftBank. Info Edge's stake rises to 20.12% on a fully diluted basis, and it has said it may buy more shares in a secondary deal.
Siddharth Vij, Chaitanya Rathi, Siddharth Rastogi and Sachin Chauhan founded the company in 2015 as a marketplace connecting manufacturers with retailers. As Bijnis it raised more than $40 million, including a $30 million Series B led by WestBridge Capital in 2021, but ran into serious trouble by 2023, when Info Edge wrote off its Rs 76.65 crore investment. In late 2024 it moved to an inventory-led model.
Zorit now stocks goods in dark stores inside each city and delivers to offline retailers in as little as 60 minutes, against the seven to eight days its old marketplace took, Inc42 reported. It runs 12 dark stores in 12 cities and says it has reached Rs 120 crore in annualised sales, with nearly half its stores breaking even after the cost of clearing unsold stock. Its website says it sources footwear, apparel and accessories from more than 600 factories, with orders starting at Rs 1,500.
The company says nearly 60% of its retailers had never used an online B2B platform before, that retention beyond six months is four times higher than under its earlier model, and that ordering frequency is five times higher, at five to six orders a month on average. The new money will go into its quick commerce network, a wider product range and retailer engagement.
