An actor using the handle "shinymontanna" is offering what it calls super administrator access to the internal systems of Vijay Sales, the Indian electronics retail chain, for $25,000. The listing was flagged on October 29 by the X account Dark Web Informer, and was then reported by Digit, Times Now, News9 and Inc42. Every one of those outlets described the claim as unverified.

According to the listing, the access covers more than 3 million order records, information on about 15,000 employees and billing records for roughly 1.4 lakh vendors. The seller also says it reaches customer information, payment and bank transfer records, inventory, financial reports and internal business applications, with permission to read, change and export data. Screenshots said to show admin dashboards and super administrator rights have been shared alongside the post, Inc42 and Digit reported.

Why the claim matters even before it is confirmed: a super administrator account usually has broad control over a system, including the power to manage other users and their permissions. If the access is real, the risk goes beyond a copy of customer data, because someone holding it could also change records inside the retailer's systems, Times Now and News9 noted. Screenshots alone do not prove a breach or show that any data was taken.

Vijay Sales did not respond to Inc42's questions, and Digit said the company could not be reached when it published. Times Now said it was waiting for an official response. Inc42 reported the listing on October 31 next to AU Small Finance Bank's probe of a possible leak of vehicle loan data from a Salesforce hosted platform, which the bank says has not affected its own systems. Until the company says what it has found, customers should treat unexpected messages that mention their orders or payments with extra care.
