Vouch, a startup building an AI based wealth manager for Indian households, has raised $500,000 in pre-seed funding from Y Combinator. It is part of YC's Fall 2026 batch, and the round was reported on October 27.

The company was founded by Arnav Ghatiwala, a University of Pennsylvania computer science graduate. His YC profile says he was the youngest product manager at Robinhood to own a product line, where he led the build of its Advisor Network, and that he earlier worked on trading engine optimisation and operations at Jane Street. He told BW Disrupt that managing his own investments in India while working in the US led him to build the product.

Vouch connects to the investments a family already holds, records their goals and then suggests changes, with human experts involved in key decisions. Its website says it flags overlapping funds and laggards, plans switches around tax, and makes no move without the user's approval. The site also lists Vouch as an AMFI registered mutual fund distributor and says client money stays with SEBI regulated fund houses in the investor's own name.

The app is due in November 2026, but BW Disrupt and the BFSI Network both note that the launch depends on regulatory licensing that is still outstanding. That step matters because personalised investment advice in India sits under SEBI's investment adviser rules, which draw a line between advice and distribution.

The pitch rests on the growth of retail investing. Citing AMFI data, the company points to monthly SIP inflows of nearly Rs 32,000 crore and mutual fund assets that have grown 2.4 times in five years to Rs 85.76 lakh crore.
