Strider Robotics' M3 quadruped tows a car and heads into industrial pilots
The IISc and ARTPARK spin-out says its robot carries up to 40 kg and has more than 80% Indian content by cost.

Strider Robotics, a Bengaluru startup incubated at ARTPARK at the Indian Institute of Science, has shown its M3 four-legged robot towing a Honda Amaze. Exceptional Technology reported that on 25 September 2026 the M3 pulled the sedan with its engine off and two passengers inside, one holding the handbrake for safety, in a demonstration the company described as a Technology Readiness Level 6 milestone.
The M3 is designed to carry about 20 kg in its standard configuration and has been tested with 40 kg, the company says. electronicsforu reported that it has entered commercial pilot deployments with customers in the oil and gas and automotive sectors, and that it is meant to carry thermal cameras, LiDAR and gas detectors through refineries, power plants and mines where inspections can be dangerous for workers.
The founders have researched legged robots at the Stochastic Robotics Lab at IISc's Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems since 2018, and the company was incorporated in 2024, Exceptional Technology reported. Strider says the M3 has more than 80% indigenous content by component cost, including its motors, gears and drives, and that its AI inspection software can also run on other makers' quadruped robots.
