Hyderabad-based Perceptyne is building PR-OMNI, a dual-arm wheeled semi-humanoid aimed at dexterous factory tasks that fixed industrial arms struggle with when parts arrive slightly misaligned. Exceptional Technology and Startuppedia both describe the platform as combining two seven-degree-of-freedom arms, a combined 10 kg payload, vision, force and tactile sensing, holonomic drive and a vertical gantry so the robot can slide sideways through tight manufacturing aisles. RuntimeBRT profiled the company on 22 October 2026 as an Indian attempt to upgrade how global factories automate manufacturing with proprietary actuators and a bespoke AI stack.

The New Indian Express reported in December 2025 that founders Raviteja Chivukula, Jagga Raju Nadimpalli and Mrutyunjaya Nadiminti built force-torque and high-resolution tactile sensing in-house, with torque sensing at every joint. Exceptional Technology says the team retains control over more than 60 percent of the bill of materials by designing actuators, drives, gearboxes, controllers and six-axis force-torque sensors themselves, and that EMS and automotive clients are cutting automation costs by up to 40 percent in early deployments. Its PR-PhI physical-intelligence stack trains through teleoperation, recording angles, vision, force and grip changes so tasks can move from shared autonomy toward independent execution.

Exceptional Technology places total funding past $3.28 million after a $3 million seed in October 2024 that included Whiteboard Capital, Yali Capital, Endiya Partners and T-Hub, on top of earlier family capital, NIDHI-PRAYAS and Startup India Seed Fund support. The company says it is validating the stack through commercial pilots with Fortune 500 semiconductor, electronics and automotive customers, and is expanding the line to fixed dual-arm PR-DUO, single-arm PR-UNO and bipedal PR-SAPIEN platforms. Watchers should still treat Omnivore or Premji-linked growth talks as unconfirmed until a second independent outlet reports a closed round.
