Paar Autonomy raises Rs 10 Cr to put its drone cameras and GPS free navigation into serial production
The Bengaluru defence tech startup builds the perception layer for unmanned aircraft, rovers and boats, so they can keep working when GPS and radio links are jammed.

Paar Autonomy, a Bengaluru startup that makes camera systems and AI software for drones and other unmanned defence platforms, has raised Rs 10 crore in a round led by AdvantEdge Founders, The Economic Times reported on October 23. Entrepreneur India described it as a seed round of over Rs 10 crore. The company did not name other investors or disclose a valuation.
Vignesh Sivaram Jayaraman founded the company in June 2024. Its products sit in what Entrackr calls the perception layer of unmanned aerial, ground and maritime vehicles: gyro stabilised, multi sensor gimbal cameras, AI that runs on the device, and visual inertial navigation that does not depend on GPS or other satellite signals. The aim is for a platform to recognise objects, read its surroundings and finish a mission even when GPS and the operator link are jammed.
"The real differentiator rests in an unmanned system's perception and its capacity to execute missions autonomously amid heavy GPS interference and severed communications. Paar was founded to build and own this critical stack locally," Jayaraman told Entrepreneur India.
The new money will move its aerial payloads into serial production and fund a dedicated manufacturing and testing facility, along with further work on GPS free navigation, according to Entrepreneur India and ET. Paar earlier raised Rs 3.5 crore in a pre seed round led by Venture Catalysts, which it used to set up its first manufacturing line and deliver pilot units, Entrackr reported.
