Omspace signs with Japan's Astro Gate to plan where its reusable rocket could land and relaunch
The Ahmedabad launch startup flew Gujarat's first sounding rocket in March and has finished landing legs for Infinity One.

Omspace Rocket and Exploration, an Ahmedabad space startup, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan's Astro Gate Inc to work on integrating its planned reusable rocket, Infinity One, with Astro Gate's upcoming spaceport network, India Today reported. The agreement was signed at the International Astronautical Congress in Antalya and runs from October 2026 to October 2027. It covers how the rocket could land, be serviced and be prepared for another flight, with a goal of 24 to 48 hours between launches.
India Today noted that the MoU does not secure a launch date or an operational launch site. Omspace has also signed an MoU with Spain's Arkadia Space to explore flying that company's propulsion technology on Infinity One.
Omspace has flown hardware. The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, whose CrAdLE incubator hosted the company from 2021 to 2023, reported that on 14 March 2026 Omspace launched Gujarat's first sounding rocket from Bavaliyari near Dholera. It reached about 3 km and tested a 3D-printed torch igniter, a sugar-based solid motor and a carbon fibre airframe made in Ahmedabad. In October the company said in a press release carried by idrw that Infinity One's landing legs were ready and had completed test trials.
