Docterz, a clinic software company founded by paediatrician Dr Atish Laddad, has raised Rs 5 crore from around 35 investors, Entrackr and YourStory reported on October 29. Roughly 20 doctors who use the platform contributed nearly Rs 3 crore, about 60% of the round. SUGAR Cosmetics co-founder Vineeta Singh and CaratLane co-founder Avnish Anand also invested.

Founded over a decade ago, Docterz offers a single platform for electronic medical records, appointments, billing, vaccination management and patient engagement. It supports more than 5,000 doctors across India and is strongest in paediatrics.

The company plans to use the money to grow, explore acquisitions and build AI tools that help doctors with documentation, admin work, practice data analysis and patient follow-ups. It wants to reach more independent practitioners, small clinics and healthcare organisations. YourStory reported that it intends to keep its focus on patient data security and clinical independence while doing so.
