BlackBuck, the digital platform for truck operators that was formerly called Zinka Logistics Solutions, reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 235.3 crore for Q2 FY27, up 55.7% from Rs 151.1 crore a year earlier. Net profit rose 41.8% to Rs 41.4 crore, according to its results filed with BSE on October 29 and reported by Inc42 and Entrackr. Sequentially, profit slipped 1.8% while revenue grew 15.3%.

The profit line got help from taxes. Total expenses rose 64% to Rs 210.3 crore, faster than revenue, and depreciation roughly doubled to Rs 24.5 crore. Profit before tax grew a more modest 10% to Rs 42.8 crore, and a sharply lower tax expense of Rs 1.4 crore, against Rs 9.7 crore a year ago, lifted the bottom line. EBITDA rose 39% to Rs 50.6 crore.

Payments and telematics remain the base. That business, which covers FASTag toll payments, fuel payments, vehicle tracking and fuel sensors, earned Rs 161.4 crore, up 31%. Tolling gross transaction value grew 17% to Rs 7,070 crore across 17.4 crore transactions. The faster growth came from what the company calls growth businesses, the managed freight service Superloads, a freight marketplace and vehicle financing, whose revenue rose 166% to Rs 73.9 crore. BlackBuck said its vehicle finance arm is on track to break even at the EBITDA level.

Average monthly transacting truck operators rose 13% to 8,95,125, and users taking at least two services grew 19% to about 4.76 lakh, while average daily time spent in the app fell 3% to 41.8 minutes. BlackBuck was founded in 2015 by Rajesh Kumar Naidu Yabaji, Chanakya Hridaya and Ramasubramanian Balasubramaniam.
