## At a glance

- Company: Vartis Platforms (UdhaarSaathi)
- What it does: Parent of LenDenClub running P2P lending, personal and merchant loan marketplaces, and lending technology
- Based in: Mumbai
- Latest: Launched UdhaarSaathi merchant working capital loan marketplace
- Date: 2026-11-03
- Founders: Bhavin Patel, Dipesh Karki

Vartis Platforms, the Mumbai parent of peer-to-peer lender LenDenClub, has launched UdhaarSaathi, a digital loan marketplace for small businesses, Inc42 and Elets BFSI reported on November 3, 2026. Founder Bhavin Patel told Inc42 the platform serves kirana stores, pharmacies, street vendors and other small retailers with collateral-free working capital loans of Rs 15,000 to Rs 2.5 lakh, at an average ticket of about Rs 1 lakh.

Vartis aims to facilitate Rs 1,000 crore in UdhaarSaathi disbursements by the end of FY27, both outlets reported. The company operates as a lending service provider and marketplace: partner NBFCs underwrite and fund the loans, while Vartis earns fees when repayments are processed through its platforms and does not take credit risk on the book. Credit assessment draws on merchants' banking and business transaction data shared with their consent, Inc42 said.

UdhaarSaathi is Vartis's second lending-service-provider platform after InstaMoney, which launched in 2017 for small-ticket personal emergency loans. An early version of the merchant product went live in February 2026 under the earlier name InstaVyapaar, with a fuller version following a couple of months later; western India currently contributes the largest share of customers, followed by the South, East and North, Patel said.

The launch comes as Vartis strengthens governance ahead of a possible IPO. Patel told Inc42 the group is targeting readiness over the next 12 to 18 months rather than a fixed listing date, and that any issue could be an offer for sale because the company sees no immediate need for primary capital. Founded in 2015 by Patel and Dipesh Karki, Vartis also runs the lending technology platform Vartis One. Net profit rose 183% to Rs 96.2 crore in FY26 on operating revenue of Rs 338 crore, up 43% from FY25, according to both reports.
