Scimplify, a Bengaluru specialty chemicals and advanced materials maker, has raised $25 million in an all-equity strategic round led by Hitachi Ventures, TechCrunch and Entrackr reported on 14 October. Customers Henkel and Teknor Apex joined as new investors, and Accel India, Bertelsmann India Investments, Omnivore and 3one4 Capital also took part. Entrackr reported that total equity raised is now $80 million, and TechCrunch, citing a person familiar with the deal, put the post-money valuation at $250 million.

The company develops manufacturing processes in its labs in Bengaluru and Hyderabad and hands them to partner factories. Its AI platform, Scinode, uses specialised agents for research, manufacturing and quality to pick production routes and plants from a network of more than 500 facilities. Co-founder Sachin Santhosh told TechCrunch that in some cases it has gone from a customer's requirement to delivered material in two months, against the usual 12 to 18.

The money will build research, processing and manufacturing capacity in the US, focused on materials for semiconductors, defence, energy and AI infrastructure, Entrackr reported. Santhosh told TechCrunch the company's annualised revenue run rate is about $200 million, with the US at about $60 million. Entrackr reported projects including a high purity semiconductor chemical and recovering tungsten from industrial scrap. Scimplify was founded in 2023 by Sachin Santhosh, Salil Srivastava, Dheeraj Dhingra and Hersh Manek.
