## At a glance

- Company: Provision Labs
- What it does: Data collection, evaluation and deployment infrastructure for physical AI and robotics developers
- Based in: San Francisco
- Latest: Launched physical AI data venture
- Date: 2026-10-26
- Founders: Anjali Sardana

Anjali Sardana, who founded the Bengaluru home services startup Pronto, has set up a new company called Provision Labs in San Francisco. The Economic Times first reported the move, and Entrackr, Moneycontrol and Inc42 followed. Sardana will run Provision Labs as chief executive while staying on as chief executive of Pronto.

Provision Labs is going after the data layer for physical AI, meaning systems that have to see and handle objects in the real world rather than produce text or images. According to its website, as cited by Moneycontrol, it will work on the data, evaluation and deployment pieces that developers need to train robots and other machines and then check that they can do real tasks reliably. Inc42 reported that it plans to source training data from professionals across sectors globally.

The website lists Lachy Groom, General Catalyst, Bain Capital Ventures and Glade Brook Capital as backers. Entrackr notes that all four also invested in Pronto. Neither the amount raised nor any customers have been disclosed.

The link to Pronto is the part to watch. Pronto has piloted, and in July 2026 expanded, an opt in service called Pronto Verified in which service professionals wear cameras during household jobs and the anonymised footage is used for AI training. The pilot drew questions about consent and how footage from inside homes would be stored and used, and Pronto said at the time that it had worked towards compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Reports so far do not say whether Provision Labs will draw on Pronto's footage or collect data through its own arrangements.

Sardana is not alone in the space. Inc42 points to Human Archive, Awign and Objectways, which are building pipelines that supply first person footage of Indian workers doing physical tasks to AI labs and robotics companies, a trade that raises its own questions about worker consent, pay and how much value stays in India.
