Bengaluru-based Karta AI has raised $3 million in a seed round led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital, Entrackr and ETEntrepreneur reported on October 22, 2026. Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars also participated. Bar and Bench later noted that Vertices Partners advised Dreamzest Technologies Private Limited, which does business as Karta AI, on a Rs 28.52 crore raise matching that amount.

Founded in 2024 by Vijaypal Singh and Abhishek Kushwaha, both former Razorpay executives, Karta AI builds voice agents that handle inbound customer calls for banks, lenders, fintech companies and insurers. ETEntrepreneur said the company has more than 10 paying customers, naming PhonePe, Pine Labs and Aavas among them, and handles around 2 million customer conversations a month across more than 25 languages. The company said its agents connect to enterprise systems so they can resolve multi-intent requests rather than only answering a single FAQ.

According to the company's press materials carried by Entrackr, the new capital will strengthen end-to-end automation and multilingual capabilities, expand deployments with financial institutions, and scale engineering and go-to-market teams. Singh told ETEntrepreneur that product work will focus on what Karta calls a predictive context engine, which uses past interactions to improve how later calls are resolved, and that distribution is a major use of funds over the next 12 to 18 months.

Cedar Hill Capital's Sahil Anand told ETEntrepreneur that inbound calls are harder than outbound ones because the caller arrives with an unpredictable request, often more than one, that the agent must understand and then complete. Karta's own claims include resolving around 70 percent of borrower queries end to end at a home-loan customer and cutting cost to serve per query by roughly half; those figures come from the company and have not been independently audited in the coverage cited here.
