Bengaluru-based Desible.ai has raised Rs 32 Cr in a seed plus round led by Prime Venture Partners, with existing investor Invention Engine also taking part. The round was announced on October 7. Reports converted the amount at between $3.3 Mn and $3.7 Mn, and no valuation was disclosed. The company says the money will go into its agentic AI product, compliance infrastructure, sales and faster product development for banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) clients.

Founded in 2025 by Uttam Tiwari and Omkar Raikar, Desible started with AI voice calls and is building what it calls an agentic workflow orchestration platform. Its agents work across voice, WhatsApp, SMS and email and plug into the systems a lender or insurer already runs, handling jobs such as policy renewals, collections, lead qualification, welcome calls, tele-medical examination referrals for underwriting and claims intimation. Decisions on disclosures, consent and escalation follow predefined rules, and each step is logged so it can be audited. "Voice AI is our entry point, not our destination," Tiwari said at the time of the round.

The company says it runs more than 25 agentic workflows and handles more than 10 million customer engagements a month, and that more than 40 BFSI institutions use or are evaluating the platform. It says the product is built around RBI, IRDAI and TRAI rules as well as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. These are the company's own figures and have not been independently verified.

In a conversation published by YourStory on November 1, the founders explained why they started with insurance and spent much of their early money on compliant infrastructure. Raikar described Indian information security reviews that run to about 450 questions, including on data residency and compute, and said the company is handling close to a million calls a day. Tiwari estimated that fewer than 35 to 40% of proofs of concept he has seen convert into production deployments.

Price is the other pressure. Gaurav Ranjan of Prime Venture Partners told YourStory that early voice AI was sold at Rs 5 to Rs 7 a minute and now goes for about Rs 1.5 to Rs 3, against Rs 20 to Rs 30 a minute for a human contact centre. Desible's answer is to charge for completed workflows rather than per call, and Raikar said its own cost per call has fallen from about Rs 7 to Rs 8 to below Rs 2. It competes with other Indian voice AI firms selling to lenders and insurers.
