Cent, a Bengaluru preventive health company co-founded by Practo founder Shashank ND, has raised $15 million in a Series A round of equity and debt led by Blume Ventures and existing investor South Park Commons. Former Vodafone chief executive Arun Sarin, former OpenAI B2B chief technology officer Srinivas Narayanan, Sharath Narayana, Krishna Sridhar and Aprameya Radhakrishna also invested. The company did not disclose its valuation or the split between equity and debt. Mint reports that Cent raised a $5 million seed cheque in March from South Park Commons and Shashank's family office, OneFlow Holdings.

Founded in 2025 by Shashank ND, former Ola Electric chief marketing officer Anshul Khandelwal and former Lenskart product head Arpit Garg, Cent runs screening centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai and the Delhi NCR region. Its main product, Cent Check, is a visit of about two hours that combines a full body MRI, low dose CT, a DEXA bone density scan, ECG, echocardiography and more than 100 blood biomarkers. The company says its AI pulls the results into a single view of the body, specialist doctors review each finding, and members get a doctor led plan for the year.

The technology bet sits in software and data. Cent has acquired Medsee, an AI radiology reporting tool founded by Chitra Singh that drafts structured reports and flags findings for a radiologist to review. Terms were not disclosed. Khandelwal told Mint that most of the equity will go into research and development, including a bioinformatics platform that combines molecular, structural, functional and clinical data, while the small debt portion will fund equipment for new centres.

Cent says it has completed 10,000 whole body scans since launch and is targeting 10 million by 2035. It says one in four members who felt healthy had a finding that needed action and one in 40 needed immediate medical attention. In its investment note, Blume put capacity utilisation at 90% and said Cent has captured 12 TB of multimodal health data from people without symptoms. These are company and investor figures, not independently audited.

The company plans to grow from three centres to between seven and ten by mid 2027, staying within its current three cities, according to Mint. It also says the scan data will be used to build health baselines for Indians and to train models that flag disease risk earlier, which will put its consent and data handling practices under scrutiny as India's DPDP rules come into force.
