## At a glance

- Company: Armatrix
- What it does: Snake-like robotic manipulators for hazardous confined industrial inspection
- Based in: Bengaluru
- Latest: Seed funding
- Date: 2026-11-03
- Founders: Vishrant Dave, Prateesh Awasthi, Ayush Ranjan

Deeptech robotics startup Armatrix has raised about Rs 67.28 crore in a seed round led by UK-based Crane Venture Partners, according to an Entrackr exclusive based on regulatory filings and a matching FinSMEs report of roughly $7.12 million. Crane put in about Rs 40 crore. Existing investor pi Ventures added about Rs 15 crore, with gradCapital, Boundless Ventures, Inuka Capital and NKSquared also participating, alongside smaller cheques from AL Trust, Saurabh Chandra, Unacademy co-founder Roman Saini and Narayan Rangarajan.

Entrackr said filings show an allotment of 4,070 compulsory convertible preference shares at Rs 1,64,900 each plus 10 equity shares, and estimated the seed valuation at about Rs 360 crore, roughly 4.8 times its pre-seed mark. The round may continue in later tranches. In January 2026 Armatrix had raised $2.1 million in a pre-seed led by pi Ventures.

Founded in 2024 by Vishrant Dave, Prateesh Awasthi and Ayush Ranjan, Armatrix builds snake-like robotic manipulators for inspection and maintenance in hazardous, confined industrial spaces across shipbuilding, nuclear energy, oil and gas, and aviation. FinSMEs describes the systems as AI-powered serpentine manipulators meant to reduce the need for people to enter dangerous structures. Entrackr said the company was still pre-revenue in FY26 with a net loss of about Rs 3.05 crore, and plans to use proceeds for business expansion and general corporate purposes.
